Pitch Black.

These are a very limited selection of the Pitch Black props. I unfortunately no longer have images of all the stuff we built. Time was very tight on this show and all this was very rushed and challenging.

The glowing bugs were a very simple sculpt as we barely see them. They were cast out in clear silicone that had glow stick chemicals injected into them. We made dozens of these things.

The power cells were timber and acrylic with cast sections. The burnt out versions were simply torched to look exactly as they were supposed to. It was fun torching these to get the result needed.

We made many solar power generators from large exterior units to small units powering toys. These were all timber and acrylic and most had motors in them to drive the rotors.

The next few images are a selection of props. The old photos are low quality and didn’t scan very well but are the only records I have.
